NA 172 Principles of Environmental Protection Standards Committee
The Principles of Environmental Protection Standards Committee (NAGUS) is the responsible committee at DIN for interdisciplinary generic standardization in the field of the environment protection at national, European and international level. The main areas of work include environmental aspects in product development, environmental management/environmental auditing, life cycle assessment, environmental labelling, environmental performance evaluation, environmental communication and greenhouse gas emissions. NAGUS represents the German interests in ISO/TC 207 Environmental Management and contributes actively to the standardisation work at all levels of the Technical Committee. ISO/TC 207 is the Technical Committee of the International Organization for Standardization responsible for the standardization in the field of environmental management tools and systems.
